Aqua Adventures (Del Mar Surf Camp) is organized by We Are Coaches, Inc. which is a non-profit organization above all committed to emotionally and physically healthy kids and families. As an organization, We Are Coaches holds high standards for both our staff of coaches and our students so that all are empowered to take responsibility for the environment, their property, our property, and the other people around them while having fun.

 

We Are Coaches is an equal opportunity organization and prioritized hiring individuals who reside directly in the community that we serve. Our supervisors have teaching credentials and  experience working with children in the recreational field. Our coaches are all certified against the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Both coaches and supervisors are passionate, dedicated and expert water men and women with decades of experience surfing and other ocean activities.

Since 2000, each year up to 150 families have participated in the camps at 15th Street/Del Mar, Moonlight Beach/Encinitas, and Carlsbad. Over 40% of students every year are returning from previous years, a sure sign that the kids are having fun and their parents feel safe! It also has allowed us to develop long and lasting relationships with families as their children grow.
